I've had this dado set for several years and used it on everything from maple to MDF to softwoods. Has worked great. Assortment of blade widths and shims allow very fine adustment of width. Gives a nice square bottom with sometimes very very slight grove at edges.

When using larger widths, can exceed length of being able to tighten arbor nut safetly on table saw. But this would be true for any stacked dado set.

Have used with both a Delta contractor and Unisaw. Works fine on both but clearly Unisaw handles the mass better when starting up.

Case is nothing to get excited about and have to be careful not to have carbide touching.

Would buy again.

I recently purchased the Wolfcraft 4525 Drill Guide for a woodworking project. I do not have room for a drill press and needed to make some holes for some bookcase shelves. So here is the good, bad, and ugly.
The Good:
1) It is a relatively well made tool. I have dropped it several times while it was still attached to my old B & D 1/2" drill with no damage. The spring action and adjustable angle are relatively smooth.
2) It helps make repetitive drilling much faster. It is much better than taping the drill bit to mark a desired depth
3) It makes pretty good 90 degree holes
4) There is nothing else quite like it on the market.
5)Stores easily
The Bad:
1)The play in the slide and bit attachment keeps the bit from always landing in the same spot. I think using brad point bits would make centering much more accurate. I also think a few modifications to the design could fix the problem.
2)The blue knobs on top that hold the desired angle seem to come loose often
3)Setting the right depth can be tricky because of the pressure of the springs. But once it is set it does not become unadjusted easily.
The ugly:
I think Wolfcraft should spend a little more time developing this tool. It is a cheap, simple, and effective replacement for a drill press. When comparing job site radios, I narrowed the field down to the Milwaukee and this radio. The Milwaukee was cheaper, but I couldn't quite get over its weight - it weighs almost twice as much as this radio. At less than 13 lbs, the Dewalt Job Site radio is easy to carry around.

I like the rollcage around the radio. It absorbs blows and drops and makes the radio easy to tie down in almost any position. The dual-pivot antenna is just about unbreakable.

Radio reception is fairly good. Sound quality is excellent midrange, but of course it lacks any heavy-duty bass or sterling high frequency response since it lacks tweeters and subwoofers. The Aux-in function works well. 4 easy to use radio presets aren't anything to write home about, but they do the job. The seek function works well also, but it is a bit slow (compared to my car radio, which seeks very quickly.)

The radio is a bit pricey, even considering it has a built-in charger.

Overall, I'd say it works perfectly given what it is, and is quite rugged and reliable - but it is rather expensive.

Some things I would like to see improved:
- Price reduction into the sub-$100 range.
- Faster seek function.
- Move the aux-in port to the front of the radio!
- Did I mention reduce the price?
- Include a battery with the price of the radio.
